SocksLove

SocksLove was born onto a record groove somewhere in Italy. Rock’n’roll and eurodance blew him away when he was five, and he started making mixtapes pretty much straight away. 

Since then, he’s been seduced by seamless danceable electronica as well as crooning live music. He seriously started mixing vinyl when he was sixteen, crafting patchy harmonies, knotting together punk and breakbeat, synth pop and acieeeed disco, kraut rock and pop. 

For more than 22 years now. His aliases and approaches have shapeshifted and evolved over the years, while sharing booths with the likes of Caribou, Moullinex, 2ManyDJs, Bonobo, Omar Souleyman, Paranoid London, Cut Copy, Pantha du Prince, The Carry Nation, Yas Meen Selectress, Ninos Du Brasil and Fafi Abdel Nour. 

SocksLove adopts the hedonism of electro and the sensuality of house music, uses reassuring vocal loops and stoned guitar riffs – morphing everything into a sound weapon of mass extrication, filling and fulfilling club nights, afternoon and after-hour sets. 

Not only was he the European tour manager of Automat Radio, he was also the flesh-and-blood antenna of the pan-European platform Eurocrash – a queer production network for smart creatures. He's been Diva's live drummer and sound programmer and half of Baby Dj Lab, a music forum for kids who are into vinyl.

During 2020’s lockdown he’s created Radio Brioschi to keep the good vibes going, and he’s now behind the scenes and artistic direction of Electropark Festival in Genoa, Italy. He has no genre, but makes up for it with style.
