Makimakkuk

Makimakkuk is a Palestinian music artist and selector. Her work weaves together hip-hop, electronic and experimental influences and, through both productions and DJ sets, she explores diverse rhythms, textures, and sonic identities, reflecting a personal dimension alongside the influences of the context she moves within.

Her music carries echoes of resistance, nostalgia, and forward-looking experimentation, positioning her as a distinctive voice in the contemporary global music scene. With performances ranging from underground venues to festivals and museums, she has engaged audiences with sets that challenge expectations and question conventions.

As a selector, she moves fluidly across moods and tempos, creating dynamic experiences that resonate on both emotional and physical levels. Her production work does not belong to a specific genre, but, as she defines it, takes the form of “Sovereign Hop.”

At Electropark 2026, she presents a unique live performance blending traditional Palestinian sounds, experimental, hip-hop, electronic, and ambient influences. Through original compositions, alongside live rapping, singing, and spoken word, the performance explores themes of self-expression, justice, and mental health, challenging genre boundaries and celebrating cultural identity.
