Electropark Walkscape

On the afternoon of June 6, a WALKSCAPE led by researchers Andrea Bagnato, Erica Petrillo, Antonio Bermudez Obregon with a mobile device by Luca Gerry Conte will provide an opportunity to collectively reflect on the colonial traces present in Genoa’s urban landscape.

Starting from Piazza Acquaverde, we will discuss the figure of Columbus and his representations on both sides of the Atlantic, drawing parallels between Colombia and Italy. We will move on to Villa del Principe and then continue toward Palazzo San Giorgio to discuss the historical link between colonial exploration, the slave trade, and financial institutions.

The WALKSCAPE will conclude with Il peso non mi sarà grave, a performative act by Justin Randolph Thompson and Ernes Amores Guerra.
